CEBU CITY, Philippines — Cebu-based pop rock band Coloura has released “2016,” the fourth and final single ahead of their debut full-length album, out August 22. The emotionally charged new track is now streaming on all major music platforms.
“2016” explores the intensity of unexpected love, evolving from a fleeting connection into something all-consuming. “It changed shape many times, both sonically and lyrically, until it finally became what it was always meant to be: a raw, emotional reflection on love, longing, and surrendering to something bigger than you,” the band shares.
The single follows a string of releases that have reignited Coloura’s presence after a year without releasing new music. Previous singles “At 25, somebody told me that I looked like a young Pete Wentz,” “Only Connection,” and “GF” were met with praise from fans and media alike, with “Only Connection” surpassing 15,000 streams on Spotify.
“2016” was produced by Jake Russell Relacion and Robert Michael Lim, mixed by Relacion, and mastered by Luigi Miguel Balazo and Nevermnd Studios. The cover art was designed by Alden John Panes, who has worked with the band on their visual brand since their earlier releases. A music video by director Cliff Rigor accompanies the single release.
The band’s upcoming debut album, self-titled Coloura, will include all four already released singles and a total of 13 tracks. Fans can presave and preorder the album now ahead of its August 22 release.
